Relationship Reflection

Having relationships are an important aspect in life, they allow you to be able to share your life with someone. Relationships allow for life friendships, being true to yourself, showing love, and having fun in life. In life I believe that the friendships/relationships you have should be of a positive light in some how to your life, or at least you be a positive light to that person.

In my life the relationships are made up of family and friends, family being very important to me because we as a family are very close, that includes the extended part of my family. We come together when ever possible just to be around each other, share our experiences, laugh, love, play pranks, give advice etc. From being around my family it shows how important it is to have relationship with those around you, because you never know the impact you can have on one's life. Stemming off from the relationships I have developed in my family, I have a also developed positive friendships over the years. These friendships have always been helpful whether in life decisions, school, socializing, spiritual growth, and though at times it may feel like I was giving out more of me than I was receiving, it was a matter of understanding why each individual has been placed in my life and to accept it.

Relationships are hard work, keeping them alive that is. It is true that friends can be in different countries not hear each other for a while but still when they meet back up it was like they never left. Though this is true, sometimes friends grow apart for various reasons, lack of communication, lack of trust, lack of understanding, lack of love etc., this can be the result in the little effort placed in keeping the friendship.
From have developed relationships with family and friends, it leaves me in good stead for developing relationships in the field of early childhood. In that I would be able to love each child and family for who they are and not who I want them to be, to be able to offer advice, and keep a clear communication system going on.

  1. I like that you say that relationships are hard work. YES they truly are. Sometimes relationships are a fight and you just wanna throw in the towel, but anything worth having is worth fighting for. Sometimes its the process of the relationship that makes it so much more meaningful. I find this to be true in all kinds of relationships, but its the accepting of differences that help the relationship to blossom and grow.

  2. I to agree with you and Karen that relationships are hard work, With that said, the more work you put in, the better the reward of bonding and connecting. My relationships are too the closes with family and friends, Communication is so important and key when trying to create and maintain relationships. Having an open heart and open mind, along with communication can go a long way when making new partnerships and maintaining those close relationships we have. I am happy you have such positive relationships in your life.
